Margarita
One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, FLOOR! As with most cocktails the origin of the Margarita is heavily debated. However, it’s fair to say this one has all the characteristics to suggest it’s almost certainly Mexican; tequila, triple sec, lime and salt are a bit of giveaway in our opinion. It’s such a powerhouse in the cocktail world and a brilliant choice if you’re partial to something on the sour-side too. Feeling hot? Blend with ice and you’ve got yourself a Frozen Margarita…
What you’ll need: |
|
Preferred glass: | Classic |
Process: | Shake |
Garnish: | Salt & Lime Wheel |
Top Tip: | Can be served straight up or on the rocks, with or without the addition of salt. Many people like to add salt to the rim of the glass, but we think it should be used to season the drink itself - it makes the flavours pop! |
How to mix it like a pro: |
|
Paired with: | ‘Day of the Dead’ after a night on these! |
Feeling creative? | For a spicy variation, add coriander and three slices of red chilli before shaking. |
