The magnificent mimosa. Often overlooked by cocktail-connoisseurs due to its supposed simplicity. Yet when created with the chilled juice of a fresh orange, a dash of orange liquor and toped up with the finest of Champagne it can be quite the showstopper. The ideal option to ease you in gently all of those festive celebrations…

What you’ll need:

 

·      Your Rusty Barrel cocktail shaker set

·      Ice

·      45ml of orange juice

·      15ml of orange Curacao

·      Your preferred champagne

·      Strawberry to garnish

Preferred glass:

Champagne Flute

Process:

Shake and top

Garnish:

Strawberry

Top Tip:

Always use freshly squeezed orange juice!

How to mix it like a pro:

 

1.     Add the orange juice, Curacao and ice to your shaker.

2.     Shake for 8-10 seconds

3.     Strain into a champagne flute.

4.     Top up with your preferred champagne.

5.     Add strawberry garnish to finish.

Paired with:

Fizz the season to be jolly…yule have anything but a silent night!
